Than something like 2 nights CHX. Up to Chiang Rai next – see the White Temple. Than Mae Salong to see why “the lost army” – Kuomintang’s 93rd division who fought under General Chiang Kai Shek’s Army – stopped here and founded the town. Further on towards the Laotian border and down to Luang Prabang with the Slow Boat next.

GHTime Code(s): 49f6dwe took the night bus from bangkok to chiang mai. it takes forever to get here but than it is a new morning and we are here. now we had breakfast and dimitrie smokes his after the coffee cigarette. Twin-Hut did reserve a bungalow for me – things are good!
We will take the local bus to pai now.
Will be in Asia from November 22nd till February 1st! This will be the shortest winter trip in decades but i want to help a friend at a trade fair in Nürnberg.
The plan is to go up slow from bkk towards Chiang Mai for a few medical exams and stuff – up to pai for x-mas and new year and next???

this took quite a while but i had to much work – now it is online!
i have to admit that there are not a lot of interesting pictures this time but i had only 8 weeks and it was not really a nice trip this time – to short and they killed pai (i still dunno how they did it)!
I was there in march 06 the last time and come back in november 06 and the whole thing went crazy.
millions of thai tourists block the whole village every weekend and over xmas and new year it was like a campground! including a lot of driving the car instead of walking 2 minutes and noise starting at 6 in the morning and bla bla bla – fuck it! Lots of other little things on the side like no party nowhere, 500(!!!) bath entrance to the hot springs (thai pai 20! and my bungalow is only 120!!).

allready on my way down south. one night in chiang mai. found a quite little street with a few restaurants and shops. got a nice new room with toilet and hot shower for 200 bath. and today i had my 1st massage by a blind woman. interesting place cause only blind people work there.
