To Tilicho Lake – Side Trip on the Annapurna Trek

Tilicho lake is one of the highest lakes in the world. It is 4,949 m or, 4919 m high in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in the Manang district of Nepal. You have to cover more than 1100 meters up to get to the lake from Tilicho Base camp.

Did start before 6 in the morning. It was quite cold and still dark. The moon gave enough light, so it was easy to follow the trek. I was quite happy when the sun finally came round the mountains. The only time I used my gloves, and I was really happy about my hat as well.

The only time I did really felt like being high up in the mountains. As far as you can see – only snow. This was quite worth the hike up here.
