A few Days in Dublin

25 years ago I did meet Saran at Linda’s tables in Bangkok behind the Wat. A few years ago she did invite me to come to London. By the time I told her I come over she sold her house and it did not work out. 2 years later she is in Dublin and invited me again. And finally we did meet again.
Now this is not the usual summer vacation. Back at the HQ it is 30+ and they have 18 at the most. Nights are down to single digits – brrrr.
Saran gave me a Leap card and I went downtown to see what it is all about.

Reminds me of Paris. There is water going and traffic left and right. Only here you have no space to walk – too much traffic on this planet.

You still find loads of old buildings – but there are loads of new ones mixed too. Not sure where the real center of town is – if you only walk you never have that feeling. If 2015 is your 1st time you might notice a billion tour buses and tourists groups all over the place. T-shirt shops and what not. I have to do better research next time I go downtown but I was not really happy with all that. Strange since if you walk in Paris it is no different. Hmmmmm…..

Guess this is where most of the tourist roam…

Not a lot of interesting graffiti so far. Lets see if I find some the next few days.

Keep Clear!

Irish toilet graffiti.
The one on the left reads:
Rory Mc Gee
Rest in Peace
“Alway in my thought’s for-ever in my heart,.”
missing you more each and every day
Loving you for ever
Till we meet again
Love

so sad – to read it right here….

For the tourist they do everything…

Once things moved with trains at the Guinness factory!

Did not want to fork out 18€ AND wait in line for about 60 min. to get a ticket at the Guinness factory. So I did opt for a pint of fish bladder cleared brew in the next pub.
