Pictures of Boats in Venice, Italy

Of course there are a lot of other boats on the water in Venice not only Gondolas! All in all it was a little bit like Istanbul sometimes. Specially when you are at the old custom house where the canals are wide. A lot of traffic – one can sit for a long time before it gets boring!

I am not sure but i guess that almost everybody does own a boat here – and since there are no cars or bikes in the city it is the only way to go from a to b if you do not want to walk.

This one is stationary – kind of an extension for the shop behind.

The city is full of tourists but still you find yourself wandering the quite canals and you can really imagine how this place looked 100 or so years ago. Apart from the modern boat not a lot different.
