It is 4,949 m or, 4919 m high in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in the Manang district of Nepal. You have to cover more than 1100 meters up to get to the lake from Tilicho Base camp.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2010\/nepal\/300.jpg\" alt=\"To Tilicho Lake - Side Trip on the Annapurna Trek\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Did start before 6 in the morning. It was quite cold and still dark. The moon gave enough light, so it was easy to follow the trek. I was quite happy when the sun finally came round the mountains. As far as you can see &#8211; only snow.
