And it is worth it &#8211; but than do not miss and visit the other big ones as well. The Sultanahmet Mosque or Blue Mosque is very impressive from the outside and great from the inside. Built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I it is still used as a mosque &#8211; that became one of the biggest tourist attractions of Istanbul.
