All in all it was a little bit like Istanbul sometimes. Specially when you are at the old custom house where the canals are wide. A lot of traffic &#8211; one can sit for a long time before it gets boring!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/022.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"340\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/> There are loads of Taxi Boats &#8211; the two longer ones in this picture <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/024.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"441\" alt=\"Venice 2013\">   <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/025.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"431\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/> I am not sure but i guess that almost everybody does own a boat here &#8211; and since there are no cars or bikes in the city it is the only way to go from a to b if you do not want to walk.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/026.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/> This one is stationary &#8211; kind of an extension for the shop behind. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/028.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"351\" alt=\"Venice 2013\">   <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/029.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"363\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/> Kind of sport  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/030.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/>  Trash boat<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2013\/venice\/031.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" alt=\"Venice 2013\"> <br \/> The city is full of tourists but still you find yourself wandering the quite canals and you can really imagine how this place looked 100 or so years ago.
