Up and down the Hollywood Boulevard.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/111.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/><br \/>Detail of 6554 Hollywood Blvd.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/112.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"427\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/><br \/>I remember that place from the last time I walked here &#8211; last century&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/113.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"535\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/114.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"975\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/><br \/> The Pacific Theatre opened as The Warner Bros. Hollywood Theatre in April 26, 1928. It could seat 2756 people &#8211; crazy!<\/p>\n<p>During the 80 week run of \u201c2001, A Space Odyssey\u201d\u009d  the theatre was sold from Stanley Warner to Pacific Theatres and was renamed the Hollywood Pacific Theatre.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe theatre suffered damage in the 1994 Earthquake. This caused the two balcony screens to be closed. The Pacific Theatre closed finally on August 15, 1994. It remained closed till 2002  the Entertainment Technology Center tested the new digital projection technology. They left again 2006 and in early 2008  it was being used by a church on Sundays.  The church vacated the building in June 2013.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThere are two antenna towers on top that once transmitted the signal of KFWB radio.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/115.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/116.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"462\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/117.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/118.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/119.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"411\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/><br \/>Who does not know the famous letters? <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/la\/120.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"927\" alt=\"Walking in Hollywood\"\/><br \/>Do you remember the time when there where record placers and you could put a lot of 45 on a little stick in the middle and each time the 45 reached the end of the song a new one dropped down??
