Looking at the forecast P\u00e9cs was interesting and only a short detour from where we have to go.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/summertrip\/169.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" alt=\"Summer Trip 2015 - P\u00e9cs\"\/><br \/>Small town Hungary &#8211; or rather small village somewhere in Hungary <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hastenteufel.name\/pix\/2015\/summertrip\/195.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"565\" alt=\"Summer Trip 2015 - P\u00e9cs\"\/><br \/>Sopian\u00e6 was the earliest Roman name for P\u00e9cs. It was founded by Romans at the beginning of the 2nd century. Now it is the 5th largest city in Hungary.  In 1367 the first university in Hungary was founded here by Louis I the Great.
