4 Days in the US – Day 2 From Fitchburg to Mukwonago
Day two of my short trip to the US. You find day one here. If you are in another time zone for only a few days, you better keep your home time zone – if you can.
So I went to bed early and got up early as well.
Today I had a big circle in mind: from Fitchburg to Mukwonago where I had the next hotel.
6:29 – I never would see this usually – sun rise over the mall
It is good if you bring your coffeemaker and coffee
Let’s go and see some Wisconsin
Lake Mendota on the way to Madison
Madison
Wisconsin State Capitol
Colonel Hans Christian Heg from Norway. He fell at Chickamauga at the 19th of September 1863
U.S. Bank
Building at E. Main Street
Graveyard in Dunn
This is at last a useful one
Charlotte can enjoy the nice Corvette alone now
I wonder if she crashed in that car?
John was in the Army and liked his ball game. What I not really get – are the children 6 feet under as well?
So the children are buried on the land… or under the stone?? Or the parents are under the stone and they had the stone made before – so they can write on it “Our children”??
Now Floyd is alone. Sad but one is usually the first to go
They do not get very old here. Noel liked to hunt – or he liked Deer and Turkey and was only doing target practice?
The haunting guitar player
Easy to figure out his favorite spor
The greatest dad loved to cruise his trike
The owner of the “Up on the Hill”? For sure, he had a Harley
Joseph liked to take his snow mobile out
Enough Graveyard – let’s cruise some more
Lots of green with a few farms and some forest
For the 1st time ever, I used a drive-thru ATM! And it was in Pleasant Springs
Outside of Pleasant Springs you find the Stoughton Area Veterans Memorial Park. It is quite new and still under construction.
After visiting a few of the places where the fighting took place in Vietnam, it was nice to see the other side
You can give money for a bench, a stone pillar, or a brick.
Lake Kegonsa State Park
At the County Road B
Oh Deer!
Lake Koshkonong
Koshkonong, Wisconsin
Fort Atkinson – I like the Eat-Mor sign
Church in Palmyra town
Which way – which way??
A farm close to Eagle Town – can you spot the 6 Dairy calf housings
Happy water tower in Eagle, Wisconsin
Rodeway Inn Mukwonago
A bit after 16:00 I pulled into the parking lot of the Rodeway Inn Mukwonago in Mukwonago. My hotel for tonight. Nothing special but it was a bit away from the street so no noise in the night. Got my room and relaxed for the rest of the day with food and a few cold brews.
Actually – this is the best shower cabin in a very long time! It is huge so you have enough space.
House of Cards again.
If you are close to Mukwonago or Alpine Valley you can give the Rodeway Inn Mukwonago a try: here is the booking.com link. They have a pool as well so it is nice to relax. Do not expect too much from the free breakfast. Also, the rooms could use some renovation.
