Kalpa – Little Village with a Big View
Travelling behind the Inner Line
After our party evening all 4 of us took the bus up to Kalpa. I had the finger advantage and could put my bag inside the bus. And boy that bus was full. People did sit on the roof at one point. But when we reached the Bus Stand in Kalpa, only a handful of people were left. All the restaurants were closed. The two sons of a restaurant owner crashed a bus full of passengers down a mountain road and everybody died. So half of the village was mourning the loss. So we went to a hotel for breakfast. Everything was quite cheap and to our surprise quite good. But not really fast. I asked the owner for a room and got a nice one with the best view on that trip! Later we went for a walk and the boys had to continue the trip towards Shimla. Sandra decided to take a break from the road. So she got her bag and we shared the room.
Evening view from our balcony
And the view in the day
The way to the temple
There is not really a lot to do so you relax, take in the view. Have food at the hotel – which was AMAZING!! And take walks in the day. For breakfast and dinner you did meet most of the foreigners in the village in our hotel. Nobody did find a better place to eat. Great!
Update on the finger – it looked like that. Two big cuts and kind of blue
And that was 2 days later – not really nice.
