I like to travel, and I like to snap pictures!
My mother got me an Eurorail ticket when I was 15, and together with two friends, we adventured into France. This was the beginning of a new addiction. I do like to take pictures, so one thing leads to another. On this site, I want to share some of my pictures and some of my trips with you!
Now I am on the road for more than 8 months every year. Visiting old friends and making new friends while exploring this big blue ball.
Every family – if they have cattle or not – of a village has to take care of all the animals for one day. So one or more members of that family bring them to the feeding grounds in the morning. Watch over them for the day and return home with them in the evening….
Get up – play with the puppies, deceide where to go for breakfast, go for breakfast, talk to the guys and before you know it is beer o clock or even beer 30! Sunset – deceide where to go for dinner, go for dinner, talk to the guys and before you know it starts all…
What better day to visit Buddha’s birthplace in Lumbini as the birthday of Jesus Christ? I think that does fit well. After a 10-hour trip in a taxi, a bus with a bus driver from hell, another bus, rickshaws, and finally a very small bus I did get to Lumbini at 6 in the evening….

The other night a few guys put a kind of circus show together on the beach. Tailored for kids it was still fun to watch. And of course the good old fire show at the end of it was best. Here are a few pix for you. Performers Without Borders working towards giving disadvantaged children…
Nieuwendammerdijk is a dyke or dam in the Northern IJdijk between Buiksloot and Schellingwoude. On my way from the camp ground to Amsterdam down town I crossed it to get to the ferry. Nieuwendam founded in 1514 after one of the dykes broke. At the time the dyke lay between the IJ river and fields….
