Last Batch of Dublin Pictures
The last few days in Dublin I walked a lot. A few of the walking tours with the app and over the far South of Dublin for more walking. And I even had some sunshine for a picnic at Malahide Marina one evening!
Inside the former House of Lords. Now it is a bank building but one can still go in and visit this room. And it is free.
U IDIOT!
U IDIOT!
You are both IDIOTS!
The tower at the Dublin Castle
This church and the museum was free – the church before does collect an entrance fee – why does one have to pay now to go into a church? This is like Myanmar over here…
This is part of the original city wall. View from Cook Street. Did you know that cooking was not allowed inside the city walls in the good old times. They where scared of fire so people had to bring their food out here in front of the wall. That gave the street the name as well. See – this little app knows it all!
Trad Music at the Cobblestone Pub. One of the few things that are free in Dublin.
Perfect light for a nice picture of this iconic car
Killiney
Today I went out all the way to Killiney. The forecast called for sun and clouds – a perfect day for a stroll along the cost. And the sun was out in Malahide – but not in Killiney! Clouds again and even a few drops of rain. Still it was a nice walk with lots to see. Passed the gate of Bono – but it is not really interesting so I spare you the picture. The house is somewhere up on the hill on the left.
View from the Killiney Hill Park
Cloud paintings
Did find this nice spot so I had another picnic at the sea.
Back in Dublin again
Letter from one of the 1916 revolution fighters to his wife. He wrote it after being shot and before he died. Ahhhh my little app!
Than I wanted to have a beer at the pub where they signed the surrender. But the pub was closed. Merde!
The last day – Malahide Castle
And the garden in front of it. And finally sunshine – only for 30 minutes but hey – better than nothing!
