Quiet Days in Prachuap Khiri Khan
Prachuap Khiri Khan is a small quiet beach town down south of Hua Hin. I did spend there about two weeks at the end of my winter trip in 2014/2015. Stayed at Maggies Homestay and it comes with a garden and open-air kitchen. There were a few nice people we had some beer, conversations, and food together. Here is another set of pictures so you know how it was.
If you have a kitchen the whole food situation does change quite a bit. There is a nice market just a block away and a big market two times a week next to the train station. All that food is about 3 €. I had mushrooms almost every day and I never say “NO!” to green asparagus. Still had enough native olive oil to keep me going. Mind you – the good stuff from Greece and organic olive oil from Spain. Not the cheap stuff they sell you expensive in Asia.

The manager told me to clean my porch or else… Why like that??
Best shower at Maggies Homestay!
Mr. Cat watched over my greens
Songkran – The Thai new year – loads of water and some smear
Kung Fu Cat
Meeeeaaaoooo
There is a Pizza place that sells bread as well. Big Baguette for only 40 Bath. Makes a really good sandwich with the green from the market
The local video store did show The Fast and the Furious 7 already – hmmm
Next door to the Homestay is a vegetarian restaurant. Great – went there every morning. Usually had some brown rice with 2 toppings – 30 Bath – 0,90 € and sometimes a soup after it – another 30 Bath
My place for my sun-downer Leo in the evening
Then home, shower and dinner
Hanna had the idea for a drinking Sunday – Yes we can
The next day she was kind of quiet?
The guy from over the street. If you ever been to Thailand and saw the advertising for gated communities you might remember a picture like this one. They do very often look like that – A nice house with a car park under the same roof. A living dream. Btw – thanks for choosing the right car!
