Summer Trip 2016 Part 2 – Łódź
Street art in Łódź
From the train station in Lódź it was a 15 minutes walk to the hotel. I did a small detour because I could walk most of the way in a nice park. Check in was smooth at the Boutique Hostel. The room was 14€ a night – it was clean and good!

My single room in the Boutique Hostel in Łódź.
Ulica Piotrkowska or Piotrkowska Street in Lódź
The central axis of Łódź was revitalized from 1990 on. Part of it is now a pedestrian only street with a lot of beer gardens and restaurants. You still find many shops there as well. And lots of the nice old houses. I took a few pictures for you:
It’s fun to stay in the YMCA!
If you go in one of the side streets from Piotrkowska Street you find a lot of buildings like this one. A sleeping beauty waiting to be kissed from an investor prince.
A sad square next to the street. Only parking and trash. Looks like there was a club on the right before.
If you turn arround – it does not get better
Julian Tuwim – he was a poet
Back on Piotrkowska Street
Can you imagine how it will look in winter?
Got some food and did stop at one of the small super markets. Those 5 bottles where less than 5€ and one was better than the other. The last one on the right was my dolce. It is brewed with honey.
Wonderful sky on the way to get some breakfast. After that is was time to walk to the bus station
I love it: Polski Bus – great!
The bus did stop in a bigger place and we had 15 minutes. There was a big shopping center so I went to use the bathroom there. I did see a lot of bathrooms in my time but never something like that!
Polish German Border – where is the blue sky gone??
